Dylan Aguirre-Miller, Staff Photographer
Hi, I'm Dylan. My pronouns are he/him. A fun fact about me is that I'm an Aquarius, and I have a 12-year-old pet shih tzu. I'm an undergraduate student at Regis majoring in Psychology. What piqued my interest in photography was the beautiful scenery that I have in my backyard. One time, I took a picture of the sunset and the lake, and it came out so spectacular that it looked serene. Ever since then, I've been invested in photography. I learned the basics of photography on YouTube, and typically use my phone as my camera. I learned about ISO (which controls the light your camera lets in) and how higher ISO leads to brighter photos. I'm happy to be a part of the Highlander team, so I can take pictures of important events and really capture those moments. My interest in photography is captured in Fred R. Barnard”s famous quote, "A picture is worth a thousand words''. I want to take pictures of protests, events (whether that be on campus or off campus) and nature.
