Senior Kylie Stremmel has started a new club at Regis called “Women In Business”. The idea came to mind at the end of the 2024 school year, with the want to create a place where confidence can grow for women heading into work after graduation.

Starting a club, especially at a university where community is already such a big aspect, is not as easy as it seems. “The biggest challenge has been starting something from the ground up and getting others to buy into the vision,” said Club President, Kylie Stremmel. “But that's what makes it so rewarding. It is an exciting opportunity to build and shape a club that will prepare students for life after college.”

The “Women In Business” club will be hosting one workshop and having a guest speaker once a month, giving members a chance to learn  from women in different fields of business. Meetings include workshops on strengthening resumes, cover letters, and linkedin profiles. Everyone is welcome to attend and all majors and genders are invited.

Now going into her fourth year at Regis, Kylie was looking to do more in her college career. With friends around her being named team captains, club presidents and RMAC MVP’s, she wanted to make an impact as well. “I realized I wanted to make an impact beyond academics. Friends from back home in Minnesota mentioned how big ‘Women in Business’ clubs were at their universities, which inspired me to bring that opportunity to Regis. It’s a space for women to connect, lead and support one another.”

Five years from now, in looking back at this club, Kylie hopes to see “Women In Business” thriving with new members and hosting events to connect students with alumni as well. “I hope the club leaves a legacy of opening doors for the next generation of Women in Business.”
