Regis University’s Student Engagement and Leadership Programming Board is hosting its annual welcome-back Loyolapalooza event, with the previous year being a big hit at the end of summer. The event will take place on campus in Lot 3 on Friday, September 11th, from 4-6 p.m.

Loyolapalooza promises to include popular student favorites, with various food truck options including Mile High Sliders and an assortment of fun drinks from Vibe. The event will also be accompanied by a live performance from the returning indie band Holdfast.

Not only is Loyolapalooza featuring live performances and free food (free to students), but Battleship will also be available to play for all to participate. Students will be able to sign up, create or join teams, and compete in fun and engaging battles. Remember to keep it friendly! The last standing team has the opportunity to win fun prizes. Even if you don't feel ready to go to battle and abandon ship just yet, come support your fellow captains.

Loyolapalooza is also a great way to make friends and connect with peers outside of class. Student Programming Board officer Jolette Armendariz reports that last year students left feeling “excited to start the year, and be on campus more to make more friends.” She also reported that students were more engaged with their schoolwork after going to the event.

Loyolapalooza is one of  Regis’ largest organized events that are held annually, alongside other campus events such as Welcome Week and Ranger Week. Armendariz reports, “Loyolapalooza proves to have a good turnout since it's free for all students. Also, because it's an entertaining way to get the school year started.”

Loyolapalooza is an opportunity for the Regis community to come together and allow students to spread their wings, interact with each other, and engage with the Regis campus event lifestyle. So come on down and enjoy this once a year campus event!
