As one can easily tell coming onto campus, Regis is undergoing some major refurbishment projects, from the roof being repaired on the library to the complete remodel of the Student Center. While the beginning phase of the Student Center refurbishment is underway, the space that once occupied the bookstore is now a blank canvas of pipes and cable wires.
But the question that everyone asks is “where is the bookstore now?”
This poster gave us a clue…
“Ok,” most people said. “But where is Regis Square?”
That’s the question the Highlander crew set out to answer! Dawning our fedoras magnifying glasses, we went out to investigate the relocation of the bookstore, now properly called Ranger Station.
After hours of scouring the surrounding area (ok not hours, just 5 minutes at best), we came across what is properly called Regis Square. It is the business district that is to the left of Lot 6 that includes a Subway, a laundromat, and a Pizza Hut. While at first glance it may look like
most of the doors of this business district are closed, upon further investigation we found that Ranger Station has indeed taken up residency in one of those shops in Regis Square.
You can easily find the store as it is the parts of the connected buildings that are painted blue. The official doors that mark the entrance to the store are to the left of the Thái-Båo Vietnamese Restaurant.
Inside the bookstore, you will find the same collection of Ranger gear, electronic accessories, and textbooks to suit the needs of any Regis student. The bookstore still offers textbook rental, return, and purchase services, while a collection of more light-hearted reading material can be found to the back of the store.
This space is much bigger than our previous bookstore, allowing for shoppers to get a clearer idea about where everything is and make the hassle of shopping much more enjoyable.
The store hours are Monday –Thursday 9:00 am – 6:30pm, Friday 9:00 am – 5:00pm,
Saturday 10:00 am – 1:00pm, and closed on Sundays.
Don’t feel like making the trek all the way out to Ranger Station? You can still purchase textbooks and gear on their website and find a selection of clothing items at the Ranger Station Fan Zone inside Clarke Hall.
