Alright everyone, we are in the midst of Spooky Season, and you know what that means. Yup, it’s time for some Creepy Colorado Legends! As a Colorado native and spooky sister that’s obsessed with all things creepy, I thought it would be a good idea to compile some of the most scary, unsettling ghost stories, haunted legends, and freaky folklore into one central place.
Here’s how this is going to work. We have several genres of Creepy Colorado Legends to cover today. These genres are ghosts, aliens, religion, and creatures.
Underneath each genre, you will find a list of Creepy Colorado Legends to read as well as direct links to each story. I must warn you, some of these stories contain graphic descriptions and unsettling topics. A trigger warning will be listed on said stories so that you feel prepared to read, or to give you the option to skip that particular story. And don’t worry, we have plenty of stories for everyone.
I would also like to be clear that I did not write any of the listed articles or stories and give full credit to the authors and publications that have brought these stories to us. Unlike my usual work of original writing, today I am a gatherer and presenter of these scary stories.
So, grab some hot chocolate, turn off the lights, hide under the covers, and enjoy some of the Creepiest Colorado Legends imaginable.
