Colorado Movement Lab’s EMPOWER Summer Dance Camp Welcomes Adults and Teens With Special Needs

DENVER, CO, June 7, 2025 - Colorado Movement Lab (CML) approaches dance with a welcoming, non-judgmental and all inclusive perspective. Part of this approach is advanced through their EMPOWER Summer Dance Camp, a summer program for adults and teens with special needs. This unique program is a one-of-a-kind experience for dancers with special needs that want to expand their comprehensive understanding of dance and movement. The EMPOWER Summer Dance Camp is held in CML's home base in Westminster, CO, and is directed by Co-Artistic Directors Chris Harris and Julia Wilkinson Manley.

Classes in the EMPOWER Summer Dance Camp are taught primarily by Co-Artistic Director and longtime dance educator, Julia Wilkinson Manley. The curriculum for this program includes classes in Ballet, Variations, Conditioning, Character, and Movement Invention. Classes will occur on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30pm to 7:45pm. The EMPOWER Summer Dance Camp is broken up into two sections, offering dance opportunities throughout the summer.

Classes are scheduled in the following format:

June 2-21 - Program 1

  • EMPOWER Summer Dance Camp* - T/Th 5:30-7:45pm

June 30-July 19 - Program 2

  • EMPOWER Summer Dance Camp* - T/Th 5:30-7:45pm
