The New Listener’s Guide to Taylor Swift’s Album Collection
By Austin Price, Editor in Chief
Taylor Swift is one of the most elite, successful, and well-known musical artists in our world today. Swift made history with her seamless transition between the genres of country music and pop music. In addition, Swift has also explored the indie and folk musical genres. She has received accolades for her songwriting, artistry, and entrepreneurship, all of which have majorly influenced the music industry and popular culture. Taylor Swift has released 10 original studio albums, 4 re-recorded studio albums, 5 extended plays, and 4 live albums. With such a massive amount of published material, I would argue that Taylor Swift is a genre all on her own. She certainly has enough music to support it.
Walk A Day in My Heels

I am a woman. Simple statement I know but complicated undertones. I am a woman. I am smart, I am kind, and I am worthy. With every positive aspect from my womanhood comes negative aspects that men do not often face.
The Ethical Frontier of Gene Editing
By Ebenezer Appiah, Staff Writer
The modern classic Back to the Future, depicts a distant world much like something you’d see in a sci-fi fantasy. That world isn’t so distant now. In fact, the “future”, showcased in the popular movie franchise, was nearly 8 years ago in real-time. While we certainly haven’t reached the point of flying cars, society has progressed to developing mind-breaking innovations, and their applications can open doors for the potential to solve majorly pressing issues or welcome a new and terrifying reality.
The Pitfall of Gen Z: A Struggle Against Mental Health
By Ebenezer Appiah, Staff Writer
As a member of Gen Z myself, I’ve always been interested in examining the varying differences between our generation and those that precede us. The most common narrative I find associated with our generation is one of unabashed, outspoken, changemakers. For the most part, that holds true. Gen Z falls nowhere short of being one of the most vocal and engaged generations. However, beyond the smoke and mirrors is a veil of angst and worry.

Recently I took a hiking trip to Royal Gorge in Canon City and in St. Mary’s Glacier. Both locations offered beautiful sceneries.
The Story of the Jack Behind Jack-o'-Lanterns
By Austin Price, Editor-In-Chief
I’m sure most of you have carved a Jack-o'-lantern into a pumpkin. I know I did. I have vivid memories of visiting the pumpkin patch with my mom and pretending to help my dad carve the pumpkin in our kitchen, with pumpkin guts spilling out of mixing bowls. I remember my mom helping me light the candles inside of our pumpkins and leaving them out on the porch on Halloween night. I remember carrying the decaying pumpkin and now mutilated jack-o'-lantern into the backyard to put under a tree, leaving a yummy snack for the squirrels. These are all happy memories but the roots behind this beloved childhood ritual are much darker than they seem. With demonic roots and a search for salvation, today I will be telling the story of the original Jack behind the Jack-o'-lantern.
