Do you feel like you don’t belong at your level? Do you think you “lucked out” and other people are going to “expose you” for being a fraud? If you’ve ever thought similar thoughts, you’re experiencing imposter syndrome. This is a behavioral phenomenon that’s common with professionals in every field, including sports. It’s accompanied by symptoms like anxiety, self-doubt, negative self-talk, fears of the future, feelings of inadequacy, and constantly comparing yourself to others.

Gentrification in North Denver Neighborhoods

Growing up in North Denver, I have watched gentrification blossom over the past years. Gentrification is when the character of a poor urban area is altered by more affluent people moving in. This changes all aspects of this neighborhood and makes it new. An example of this is changing the Northside to the “Highlands.” The problem with gentrification is that it usually results in the absolute uprooting of a community and a people.

Regis University Hosts Annual Event, Trick or Treat Street

On Halloween night, October 31st, 2023, Regis University continued their annual tradition of hosting a family-friendly, and perfectly spooky event, Trick of Treat Street. This event gives attendees a chance to learn more about the university’s clubs and programs, while also giving out sweets and treats to young Trick or Treaters. The Regis Highlander was proud to be on of the independent organizations to be featured at the event.
